Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his workers both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a significant number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have an urgent need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for men and women.”
