Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reassuring, what does it really mean?
NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the field have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without the certification.
It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.
Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in any of these areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job correctly the first time. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment.
