Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why is my hot water heater running out so fast?
If you notice the supply of hot water isn’t lasting long, it could be a problem with your tank hot water heater. The heating element may be covered in grime or mineral buildup.

My toilet won't stop running. Why?
A toilet that’s running constantly could be dealing with several potential problems, such as a broken flapper seal, flush valve or flapper chain. In some cases it’s the handle itself that’s causing the problem. A running toilet wastes a lot of water, so don’t hesitate to contact our plumbers at 904-450-5672.

What's wrong with my dishwasher drain?
One of the most common reasons your dishwasher isn’t draining correctly is because the drain line is clogged. The line, also known as a drain hose, removes water from the dishwasher tub at the end of a cycle. If the drain line is clogged, water may not be able to flow properly. Contact Air Engineers Service Experts today for help with troubleshooting and repairs.

What should I do if a pipe bursts?
A prompt response is important if you’re dealing with a burst pipe as a result of freezing. Expert plumbers should handle broken pipe repairs, but there are several things you can do on your own to keep the pipes from icing over in the first place:
Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to permit warmer air to circulate around the plumbing. Be sure to move any harmful cleaners and household chemicals up out of the reach of children.
Let the cold water drip from faucets served by exposed pipes. Running water through the pipe—even at a trickle—helps prevent ice from forming and freezing.
Minimize changes to the thermostat and keep your home at least 50 degrees, even in situations where you’re not home.

Why are bad smells coming from my garbage disposal?
Break down food scraps right away with cold water and leave the disposal on for about 30 seconds to avoid a clog forming. You should also avoid dumping coffee grounds, eggshells, potato peels and other large food waste into the disposal, because they may restrict drainage and cause damage and bad smells.
